About:

On Friday, February 6, we bring the eighth annual Soul Rebels concert back to Epiphany Center for the Arts! Soul Rebels is a celebration of the life and legacy of Bob Marley: a night to uplift Reggae music and culture as a living tradition in Chicago and beyond. Always featuring an eclectic line-up of spoken word and musical acts bringing both new and classic songs, Soul Rebels honors the ways in which Marley's music and message resonate in our present contexts. In times such as these, it is more important than ever to envision a world beyond the old Babylon system of rule through dominance, division, fear and war. We fill every cell of our bodies with music that helps us to live in alignment with Jah spirit and build a world where all life can thrive. Won't you help us sing?

Hosted by Chicago poet Billy Tuggle and Rasta scholar Danielle Roper, and this year featuring performances by Eponymous Groove, Zahra Baker, and Adam Gottlieb & OneLove joined by Valroy Dawkins of Funkadesi.
